Description Thomas Kamps 2009-09-07 20:46:29 UTC
Version: Unbekannt (using 4.3.1 (KDE 4.3.1) "release 161", KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop / openSUSE_11.0)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.25.18-0.2-default

How to reproduce:
Just do nothing and wait and see that kdeinit4 gets more and more kio_http subprocesses.
Every kio_http takes ~6000KB Memory.

Is konqueror running?
Comment 2 Thomas Kamps 2009-09-07 21:40:43 UTC
No, konqeuror ist not running.

Running apps:
kontact, kgpg, kwallet, kmix, kopete, gajim, nm-applet

kinit4 starts alwas exatly 9 kio_http's, when it is starting them.

Do you have plasmoids? Maybe it could be a plasmoid which is opening http connection. Moreover you could kill all the kio_http and after restart KDE, maybe there is something on the session. Did you check processes running with ps?
Comment 4 Thomas Kamps 2009-09-08 11:50:50 UTC
I had the CWP plasmoid active (but it was not on any activity). I have closed it with the plasmoid browser and for now everything seems to be ok.

And if you re-add does kio_http processes restart?
