Are you running libmsn 4.0 beta 7 or later?
The backtrace seems related to bug 195410 (not related to beta7 crashy-ness) Thanks
(In reply to comment #1) > Are you running libmsn 4.0 beta 7 or later? Yes, I'm using the latest SVN libmsn version (now rev. 108).
- Does recompiling Kopete fixes the issue ? Thanks
(In reply to comment #4) > - Does recompiling Kopete fixes the issue ? Thanks Unfortunately no :( I recompiled everything from scratch and wait 2 days, but it crashed with the same backtrace output.

Created attachment 39914 [details] Debug patch for libmsn Dâniel could you apply this patch, start Kopete from console (or normally but then the debug message should be in .xsession-errors) and paste here the debug messages before the crash. I think I know were it crashes but will need the debug to correctly fix it. It's probably some "broken" client which crashes Kopete on emoticon/wink/voiceclip/displaypicture/filetransfer request/response.

Yes, I think you are right. I will ask you for some patience while we wait for it to crash again. Then I post the results. Thank you.
Dâniel it's most likely display picture so if you change it you may trigger the crash sooner.
(In reply to comment #13) > Dâniel it's most likely display picture so if you change it you may trigger the > crash sooner. I tried that but (un)fortunately it didn't happen anymore...
The workaround was committed to libmsn it will be in next libmsn version which should be released soon. But if you can please watch the console output (.xsession-errors) for "P2P::handle_BYE ERROR" and paste the output to this bug
