libmsn 4.0 beta 7 and later seem to cause an excessive amount of crashes. See the dependencies of this bug for specific details.

Please refrain from adding comments to this bug as it's just meant to track when the various crashes that appeared in beta 7 have been fixed.

@Matt: assuming that the only open dependant bug (bug 220490) seems unrelated to me; and that there were no more crashes with the latest version of the library, shouldn't this report be closed already?
