Version: 1.2-alpha6 (using 4.3.1 (KDE 4.3.1) "release 163", KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop / openSUSE_11.1) Compiler: gcc OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.27.29-0.1-default some people tend to write mostly in some non-english languages, while irc channels are mostly english, at least the interesting ones..
There's at least support for spell checker in konversation? If so I had found it yet.
See the context menu of the input line - it's the same for all KDE text input fields.
Wow... I have been using konversation for years and always missing this essential feature not knowning that it already exists, thanks very much!
Happy to help :).
But i think this is insufficient, specially for users that are not english speakers, since they use to have their native lang dictionary defined by default. In that case users are being forced to set globally an english dictionary, or set the dictionary to english every time they run the irc client (which is quite annoying), so the best option would be set in konversation an option to set the a dictionary.
Can anyone review this bug and set the status to NEW ? Its quite annoying not be able to use a spell checker for english
Storing language as a user property for each channel would be great A more direct language sub-menu (such as the one Pidgin offers) would help switching too.
Implemented as of c27ac245 in git master for server, channel and query tabs.
