Description Andrew Sam 2009-09-03 18:12:15 UTC
Version: 1.3 (using KDE 4.3.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

When I try to connect to my Samba shares, the computers on my network are listed. When I try to access any computer on the network, I get this error which says:

"Internal error - Unknown error condition in stat: Function not implemented" Please report bug to http://bugs.kde.org

Don't know why this happens as all the network computers are listed under smb (Samba Shares)
Comment 1 Andrew Sam 2009-09-11 16:06:55 UTC
It is still the case with the latest updates. I'm on KDE 4.3.1 and still not able to connect to Windows 7 network. The funny thing is that I'm able to see all the network computers in Samba Shares with no trouble. When I double click the network computer it asks for the password and then just displays this error.

Is KDE 4.3.1 missing something here?
Comment 2 Stanislav Perekrestov 2009-10-27 09:54:47 UTC
I can confirm this defect.
I've tried kubuntu 9.10 RC and I would say that this issue is still there.
Comment 3 Sebastian 2009-11-12 12:35:25 UTC
Happens here, too
Kubuntu 9.10
KDE 4.3.3

Thanks for all the reports, I'll set the status to CONFIRMED. We might need more information later, but as I do not have access to a Windows 10 share, I cannot further triage this bug.
Comment 8 Justin Zobel 2020-10-25 02:34:18 UTC
I have just tested on a Windows 10 VM with a share and I can access the Share.

Can you please test on Windows 10 share. Windows 7 is now End of Life.
