Description blondius 2009-09-03 15:39:17 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.0)
Compiler: gcc 4.3.3
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

Failure when attempting to login to Gallery2. Steps to reproduce: Select from menu Export -> Export to Gallery... Fill in the name, URL, username and password, check 'Use Gallery2' and click OK.

A dialogue box pops up with the error "Failed to login into remote gallery. Gallery URL probably incorrect. Do you want to check your settings and try again?"

I tried upgrading to the most recent version of Gallery2 (2.3). The version of the Kipi plugin is 0.5.0-1ubunt1~jaunty1~ppa1(jaunty). Didn't work with previous version 0.2.0-1ubuntu3(jaunty) either.

I have the same problem with option for facebok. menu Export -> Export to Facebook

I have my system in french, but a traduction of the error is

L'appel Facebook a échoué : api.facebook.com: L'opération sur la socket a expiré

The call Facebook failed: api.facebook.com: the operation on the socket expired

Just adding a note that digiKam export requires Gallery's "remote plugin" be enabled. After enabling this, export seems to work.

Site Admin -> Plugins -> Remote Interfaces -> Remote

GalleryExport tool is not maintained since a while and Gallery project is dead.
Use PiwigoExport tool instead.
