Description Dotan Cohen 2009-09-02 14:23:59 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.0)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

In KDE applications such as Dolphin and System Settings, the arrow keys are used to navigate the folder tree in the following manner:
Up: Change selected folder to the folder shown above active selected folder
Down: Change selected folder to the folder shown below active selected folder
Left: Expand collapsed folder
Right: Collapse expanded folder

In kmail, the Up and Down arrow keys have no effect on the folder tree. Instead, one must use Alt-UpArrow and Alt-DownArrow. LeftArrow and RightArrow do not need the Alt key to be pressed.

The up and down keys are used to scroll the message in the preview pane.

I am aware of this, however, my bug is for the situation in which the Folder Tree is focused, not the main window. I agree that it is nice to change folders without having to worry about refocusing (and that feature should be retained) however when the Folder Tree has focus it should be consistent with the rest of KDE.

I am reopening as I have clarified the point. Thanks, Torgny.

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
