Version: 0.8 beta (using 4.3.00 (KDE 4.3.0), 4.3.0-6.fc10 Fedora) Compiler: gcc OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.27.30-170.2.82.fc10.i686 Changing the language in KTurtle doesn’t work properly. When I start KTurtle, it defaults to English (it shouldn’t, BTW, but that’s another bug). When I change the language to e.g. Danish, the ‘File | Examples’ menu correctly changes the names and contents of the example files. However, from now on, the examples will only alternate between Danish and English. For example, if I now choose ‘Norwegian Nynorsk’, they will stay in Danish. If I choose English, they will be in English. If I then choose ‘Norwegian Bokmål’, they will be in Danish. No matter which language I choose, I either get English or Danish.
Checked with $ kturtle --version Qt: 4.5.2 KDE: 4.3.3 (KDE 4.3.3) KTurtle: 0.8 beta That is recent branch compiled from sources. Installed languages German, French and US English. With locale German selected in systemsettings I get either english (with KTurtle Script language english) or german examples (with KTurtle Script language german or french) I have switched to french in systemsettings, then I get the examples only in english or french, even if I select Script language german. Reason for this misbehaviour is obvious: The examples are build at runtime with gettext calls in the current locale (from systemsettings), therefore I get them only translated when systemsettings language=script language or untranslated =english when systemsettings language!=script language To solve this the examples have to be build whith gettext calls in the locale selected as script language to get them properly translated. This bug is in src/interpreter/translator.cpp
