Description Mathieu Zhang 2009-08-30 05:36:56 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

Trying to change color setting on kde and see its effect on emacs (with no color-theme installed):
System Setting:

Emacs:
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y103/mathfield/emacs_color.png

As you can see, emacs somehow decided to use the view background for background but the window text color for text color, making it impossible to read in this case.

Not really sure if this is an issue with kde's color setting or the way emacs decide what color it should use.

Offhand I would guess the latter. Can you please report this to the emacs developers and see what they say? (If it's not that, it's most likely a problem in the color scheme export code, which I neither a: wrote, b: maintain, c: understand ;-).)

This bug has had its resolution changed, but accidentally has been left in NEEDSINFO status. I am thus closing this bug and setting the status as RESOLVED to reflect the resolution change.
