Description Wolfgang Göweil 2009-08-29 17:34:32 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

I have imported my whole bookings from the program Equonomize! as Qif file and it worked good until I want make my first bookings. It is not possible make any booking at the income accounts or change existing bookings. I can only delete existing bookings. I have also created new account with the same result. Is this a known problem? I really like your software and if it is possible I will change, but I don't like to make bookings from the last year once more again.

The application currently does not allow you to modify/enter transactions within an income/expense account (called category). To modify an existing transaction, simply open the context menu reachable via right mouse button and select 'Goto ACCOUNT'. From there you can edit the transaction.

You might have created a new category. Creating a new account should allow you to enter transactions without any problem.

In general, transactions are entered through the asset and liability accounts and not the categories.

Just in case you don't have any of these, something went completely wrong with your import. I have no idea how Equonomize writes its QIF files.

Moving towards its fifth birthday, can this bug be closed, or is it still valid?
