Description ben chang 2009-08-28 00:05:30 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

First, I don't think this is part of WebKit or KHTML but I couldn't see an appropriate "application" in the list for the whole Konqueror browser, so please do move it to wherever is appropriate.

In Konqueror 4.3.00 I'm experiencing strange behavior with session authentication. I use a webmail client on a site where I have multiple email addresses.

"Logging out" should clear the session and authentication and return to a page to re-enter credentials, in order to check mail for another account. But, konqueror continues to automatically supply the credentials for the account I've logged out of, bypassing the login screen and effectively locking me out of the other accounts.

When I think about it, perhaps this could be KWallet's doing?

Well the KDE webkit part does not yet have KWallet integration ; so it most definitely cannot be KWallet if you are using the webkitpart. Having said that this bug report belongs under general section of Konqueror or perhaps even khtml and not in this component.

Thanks for the report.

Is this still an issue in KDE v4.6 and up ? From your description this seemed like a cookie related issue, site never logging out means the session cookie was never removed by the site when you logged out. Anyhow, does it still occur in the recent versions ? If so which rendering engine ?
