Version: 0.9 (using 4.3.00 (KDE 4.3.0), Debian packages) Compiler: cc OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.30-5.slh.1-sidux-686 When I open a PDF in okular (e.g. attachement to a mail) and want to save it in my home folder I get a message from okular, that this is not possible. Instead okular creates a zero byte file in the chosen directory. I can only save PDF files attached to mails through kmail itself, not from within okular. Same in websites. I always have to touch the files twice: for viewing and then for saving. At first I thought it was a DRM problem but it doesn't matter if I check or uncheck the DRM option in okular.
Are you using "Save as" or "Save copy as"? If you want a verbatim copy of your document, you are strongly suggested to use the "save copy as" function.
I used "Save as". If that's not intended to work for saving files from mails and the web maybe it should be dropped completely and be replaced by "Save copy as"? Whereas "Save copy as" could be named "Save as" because saving a file as something else is saving a copy. So "copy" in the text is redundant IMHO?
Oh and yes, "Save copy as" does work.

No, they are not reduntant at all. http://docs.kde.org/stable/en/kdegraphics/okular/primary-menu-items.html#menufile
