Description Dmitriy 2009-08-26 21:45:15 UTC
Version: 2.0.2 (using 4.2.2 (KDE 4.2.2), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: gcc4
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.28-15-generic

When I try to add tracks (by the same album and year) to various artists, it makes an entry for EVERY track I add, i.e. if I have added 5 tracks it makes 5 entries in Various artists named %album%. If to open each entry, you'll see all 5 tracks listed there. If to remove any entry, one song will be removed from every copy, i.e. if I removed the first entry "%album%", then only 4 copies left, consisting 4 tracks starting from the 2nd.

And - magic! - it works fine for some albums and artists. I cannot sort out when and why. I tried different things with tagging, nothing had an effect.

Dmitriy, you should update your Amarok version, 2.0.2 is quite old and outdated. Version 2.1.1 is available in the jaunty-backports repository since quite some time.

Update hasn't changed anything. The behaviour remains

I didn't say it would, read my comment and the bug I referred yours to, as it is a duplicate report. But at least you got a more recent version with less bugs than 2.0.2 had :)
