Description Dotan Cohen 2009-08-26 15:18:35 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.0)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

I often transfer many files with Dolphin or Konqueror over the network in piecemeal selections: I will select some files, copy-paste to a remote window, browse to another directory, then copy-paste some more. The list of jobs in the system tray (i) icon piles up according to selections, not files, and it really provides little to no useful information. Instead of making a new entry for each individual paste operation, I think that it should show a queue of files scheduled for transfer with their status: Queued, Transfering (including speed and percent), and Transfered. After a certain delay, Transfered items can be automatically removed from the list, and all files to be transfered will appear in the same popup window (I know it is not a "window" but what should I call it).

Thank you for considering the idea.
