I just updated my system and now the favicons in konqueror's address bar and on the tabs seem to follow the small icons settings. Though I in general prefer small icons of size 22x22 it is annoying to have that size in the tabs of konqueror because a) the favicons are stored in size 16x16 and therefore look badly blurry scaled (they didi in KDE 3 and now they do in KDE 4) up and b) it takes up too much space/height on displays like 1280x800 where you want to save every pixel of height (but nonetheless might need big small icons in other areas like context menus). 

My wish goes for a configurable size of the tab icons or displayed favicon size.
