Version: 1.12.0 (using 4.3.00 (KDE 4.3.0), Gentoo) Compiler: i686-pc-linux-gnu-gcc OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.30-gentoo-r4 When a html mail contains a table layout (and many newsletters use this technique), kmail renders the table cells to high leading to (not so) funny empty whitespace between background images. I suppose there is a problem with the default cellspacing or cellpadding. Such html code - when extracted from the mail - renders perfect in konqueror.
> whitespace between background images In fact the bug applies to <img> tags embedded in table cells. Sorry for my mistake in the previous comment. If background images are used this instead leads to wrongly applied tiling which also looks ugly.
