Version: (using KDE 4.3.0) Installed from: SuSE RPMs Use: Selected section of text in a message to change formatting (change font and make bold) w/o luck. When entered a blank line below, the changes appeared. Problem in part seems to be that if an area of text is selected and font settings applied, if there are existing font settings, the changes will not be applied. So if {[This is in one font]<And this is in another>} you selected the text in brackets {} and change the font to be the first font, it would not be applied. You would have to select only the text <> with the undesired font and apply the font change. The usual behavior should be that any font changes you apply to selected text would be applied to all of the selected text.
I'm not able to reproduce this issue in current trunk. Maybe this bug is only on KDE 4.3.0? Could it depend from the Qt version too?
Kevin, I tried with KDE 4.3.0 and can also not reproduce it. Can you give more details, please. E.g. a step-by-step description with exact information on what you typed and what fonts you selected. Thanks.
