Version: (using KDE 4.3.0) OS: Linux Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages sometimes notifications are rendered with overlapping text. This happens for kwrited messages as well as Phonon ones about my USB soundcard being or not beeing available. I did not make out a pattern right now. It seems to me that sometimes the notification systray applet seems to get the size to reserve for the message long. I.e. on several subsequent wall /etc/fstab the first appears truncated - first two lines - while the others show up complete (but without linefeeds, see bug #204698). I will attach a screenshot in a moment.

Yes my report does appear to be the same as this but my report pre-dates this report and thus this report is a duplicate of my report : Bug 203163, which was made and is dated 2009-08-09.
in trunk layouting of that text works differently: it should be fixed now

Added to that the text leaves the boundary of the extender window. Reopened, as overlapping text does still occur in KDE 4.4.3. See previous comment and attachment.
I think that text leaving the boundary of extender window is a different bug, since it happens with progress notifications. Bug 237220 - sometimes text of progress notifications leaves boundary of extender window
notmart which coded the notifcations said it's fixed in trunk. So as long as nobody can reproduce this with kde 4.5 we keep that bugreport closed.
