If I want to open a file in kate over the network, I can't write part of the file name and get a suggestion for autocompletion like I get in the local filesystem.
Must be an error, because the file is listed right above in the file-list.

I'm running into this bug, too. Very annoying - I used to use sshfs, but Kate does not work well with it, and people suggested using sftp. I did - but now I lost autocomplete, even for files already listed on the screen!

Is this still an issue with KDE Frameworks 5.44 or greater?

open file dialog of kate 18.04 shows suggestions of files from a samba share on my system while I type in file name field below files list.
