Description Christian Morales Vega 2009-08-19 17:42:21 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.0)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

mplayerplug-in has been deprecated in favor of gecko-mediaplayer (http://kdekorte.blogspot.com/2007/02/mplayerplug-in-being-changed-to-gecko.html). gecko-mediaplayer isn't a player by itself, it just does the plug-in work and then talks with a real media player through DBUS.

gnome-mplayer is the default player for gecko-mediaplayer, but other players can work with gecko-mediaplayer if the same DBUS interface is implemented.
That interface is documented at http://code.google.com/p/gnome-mplayer/source/browse/trunk/DOCS/tech/plugin-interaction.txt

It would be great if dragon could implement that interface so it would work inside the browser.

I think this is pretty far out of scope for the project, sorry.
