The backtrace seems to be bug 201003. - Can you reproduce the crash at will ? Thanks

Not at will, no. It seems to happen many times when I start up KPatience, but not always. Something that doesn't cause a crash but is of some concern is that I get dual entries on the task bar about what is running - one konsole may be running, but two show up. When the original is exited, the second icon remains in the task bar. I don't know if I should be entering it as another bug or if it's connected. I'm sorry I haven't investigated this properly. It did seem related to another bug and I did note it as such, so I thought of it more as confirmation than as an original and new instance. Pip
The other bug you are mentioning is probably bug 202199 Thanks
