Description Giorgos Pallas 2009-08-18 12:50:35 UTC
Version: 1.2.1 (using KDE 4.2.4)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

I have a folder with JPG files (extension .JPG). There are also some files
with extension .jpg. If I select 2 of the .jpg files, and press F2 (rename),
I get in the dialog: "New name #.jpg".
But if I select two of the .JPG files, I get "New name #"
That is, the extension is gone. Isn't that an inconsistency?

I guess a more consistent way to go would be: If all the files selected to
be renamed have a common extension, then show it in the dialog, else, don't
show any extension.

Thanks the report, this has been fixed in KDE 4.3.
