Description Freek de Kruijf 2009-08-17 17:37:16 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

I have the Luna and Weather widgets in my taskbar at the left from the grouped widgets with o.a. sound widget. On the desktop I have Kontact active on the right of the desktop, almost touching the taskbar, which is at the bottom of the screen. I also have the digital clock on the right of the grouped widgets. On the left of the taskbar I have the dolphin icon. When I hoover the mouse point on top of Luna or Weather the tooltip of these widgets are shown. When I move the mouse point to the left, keeping it on the toolbar, tooltips of the widgets/icons there appear, also the dolphin tooltip. However when I hoover on the Luna of Weather widget, then move the mouse point to the desktop and move it on top of the dolphin icon, the dolphin tooltip appears, but also the desktop background at the position of the Luna or Weather tooltip, whichever was the last shown tooltip there, not both. The text in the Kontact window below where the tooltip was disappears and is only partly restored when the dolphin tooltip disappears. The similar strange behaviour can be seen when moving the mouse point on top of the digital clock and then moving the mouse point via the desktop to the dolphin icon. Just hoover above these positions.

This is clearly a Xorg bug, I was able to write a xlib-only testcas (as I was asked for), but then nothing happend.
