Description Axel Braun 2009-08-17 11:26:19 UTC
Version: 1.12.0 (using 4.3.00 (KDE 4.3.0) "release 155", KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop / openSUSE_11.1)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.27.25-0.1-default

Im KMail 1.9.10 (KDE 3.5.10) it was possible to define a sort criteria per folder - e.g. im Spam folder sort is by subject, in Inbox per date.
In KDE 4.3 (KMAIL 1.12.0) this is gone lost - when I change the sort oder in the spam folder, the inbox gets the same sorting, which is annoying

That is by design, the users would be even more confused if sort orders were remembered per folder automatically.
If you really want per-folder sort orders, click the sorting button in the quick search field and chose "Folder always uses this sort order". That makes the sort order of this folder _not_ use the global sort order.
And yeah, we know that the UI for this can be improved.
