Description Adam 2009-08-17 06:45:56 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

I have installed Kubuntu 9.10 alpha alongside Ubuntu 9.04 and have symbolic links in my home directory to directories in my Ubuntu home directory. These directories are on another hard drive.

If I browse into one of these directories in Dolphin and select a file or folder or group of files, right click and select create archive (for any type of archive) the directory structure of the resulting archive looks something like this:

../../../home/adam/symlink_name/directory_name/file_name

In this example I have created an archive by right clicking the "directory_name" directory. I would expect the contents to be structured simply as:

directory_name/file_name

I don't experience this problem with directories that aren't symbolically linked.
