Version: 0.70.90 (using KDE 4.3.0) Compiler: GCC 4.3.2 -O2 -pipe -march=athlon64 OS: Linux Installed from: Gentoo Packages if Kopete's contacts list is smaller than the window size, its main window shrinks automatically when a contact goes online. this problem also occurs when a contact changes its status. it only happens when the contact list is small enough (no visible scrollbar). I don't think it matters, but the only loaded plugins are "Preview of Pictures in Chats" and "Now Listening". HOW TO REPRODUCE: - open Kopete; - sign in to any service (I'm using WLM and Jabber/Google Talk); - have a few contacts shown on the window so as the scrollbar disappears (by resizing the window up, or folding some groups, or waiting for some contacts to go offline); - wait for some contact goes online or changes its status; EXPECTED BEHAVIOUR: the window should keep the same size. ACTUAL RESULT: the window resizes down a little bit.
It might sound stupid but are you sure you did not check Configure -> Contact List -> Advanced -> Automatically resize contact list window to fit number of contacts onscreen ?
oh, I didn't know about that option, it was checked, I guess that was the problem :/ sorry for disturbing you with that :P
