I think will be great to show direction of sunlight in Sun mode. This feature will be useful for map mode or high resolution satellite images.

Killer-application: photographers may investigate lightning conditions for particular subject (nature landmark, building, etc.) in different time of day.

Also length of shadows may be shown.

If Marble will support 3D models in feature (as Google Earth), realistic shadows from such models may be displayed too.
