Description Ferdinand Gassauer 2009-08-16 21:24:58 UTC
Version: 1.12.0 (using 4.3.00 (KDE 4.3.0) "release 155", KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop / openSUSE_11.1)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.27.25-0.1-default

selecting some messages and "save as" xxx.mbox packs all messages into this file
opening this one tells the users that more than one mail is in the file, but only the first one is shown.
not very helpful
message
"The file contains multiple messages. Only the first message is shown."

If you want to have a complete mailbox in your folder tree, you need to import that file, then being able to have a message list, etc.
The single mail reader window can only show a single mail.
Opening multiple reader windows might be a problem when the mbox contains more than just a few mails.
So better: import it.

Another solution would be to save the selected mails as individual files. Not sure if that's better ...

it would be an option to allow the user to select if he wants to save "all in one" or in separate files.

I at least need them as separate files.

So then, it's a wish for the option on saving.

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
