I mean -- any bit (almost).

I see two possibilities:
a) view all headers would really reveal all headers, not only selected ones (it could be actually a preset what "all" means, for weekend users current "all" is sufficient, but for more advanced users it would be better to see all-all headers)

b) or -- ability to switch "view source" of composed mail into edit mode (on user demand I mean) 

Or even both. This way user would be in control without having to look on disk where the message is stored.

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
