Version: (using KDE 4.3.0) OS: Linux Installed from: SuSE RPMs Krunner crashes at startup. This seems to happen almost all the time I start up my system (all the time in the last couple of days). I use 4.3.0 openSUSE-Factory packages. It could be the same as this bug - at least the symptoms seem to be the same: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=186010 If I try to load krunner via konsole, I get the following output: krunner "/usr/bin/krunner(10247)" Error in thread 2760992512 : "org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown - The name org.kde.nepomuk.services.nepomukstorage was not provided by any .service files" "/usr/bin/krunner(10247)" Error in thread 2760992512 : "QLocalSocket::connectToServer: Invalid name" KCrash: Application 'krunner' crashing... sock_file=/home/alvanx/.kde4/socket-ICHTHYS/kdeinit4__0 <unknown program name>(10242)/: Communication problem with "krunner" , it probably crashed. If I disable the fsrunner plugin in krunnerrc, krunner works with only this terminal output: krunner "/usr/bin/krunner(12535)" Error in thread 2761410304 : "org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown - The name org.kde.nepomuk.services.nepomukstorage was not provided by any .service files" "/usr/bin/krunner(12535)" Error in thread 2761410304 : "QLocalSocket::connectToServer: Invalid name" Disabling nepomuksearch (which I don't use anyway) makes this come up no more. Well, it's great that it works now, but I do like the fsrunner-plugin. This is the fsrunner-part of krunnerrc: [fsrunner] dbversion=2 paths=/home/alvanx\\, 3\\, 0\\, 1\\, 0,/home/alvanx/Dokumente\\, 3\\, 0\\, 1\\, 0 searchFieldName=true searchTermStrict=true treatSpaceAsStar=true The installed version of fsrunner is 0.7.1-1.51.
fsrunner is not an official addon; please submit bugs to http://code.google.com/p/fsrunner/issues/list As for the nepomukstorage related error, this might be an installation issue with nepomuk, but most surely has nothing to do with krunner. Thanks
