Description Moritz Moeller-Herrmann 2009-08-08 16:15:48 UTC
Version: 1.12.0 (using 4.3.00 (KDE 4.3.0), Debian packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.30-4.slh.1-sidux-amd64

If you wish to attach multiple files to an email, you can pick multiple files in the file chooser dialog offered, but kmail then falsely claims the files do not exist - attaching multiple files individually works.

Suggested fix:
Short-term: Allow file dialog to open only one file, not a list of files

Ideal: Handle attaching multiple files selected in the dialog.
Comment 1 Moritz Moeller-Herrmann 2009-08-08 17:01:55 UTC
I just discovered that the problem only occurs with problematic file names containing spaces and parentheses (). Therefore it is a bug.

Reproduced in current trunk too. This is a kfile problem. I'm able to reproduce this bug even opening multiple files with kate.

Video example of the problem

I've recorded a short video which demonstrates the bug on kate.

P.S: I like qt-recordmydesktop :p

Can't reproduce the problem following comment #1 and #2 in KDE SC 4.10.1 .

Feel free to reopen if the problem still exists in recent versions.
