Version: (using KDE 4.3.0) Installed from: Compiled From Sources New notification system is fine, but some notifications aren't closeable at all (i.e., no X button on it). It's so difficult to wait for the moment it disappears especially when the occupied area is important now. I think it's more useful to make all the notifications closeable to let the user close it if he already read it or don't want it at the moment.
Can you provide some examples? (screenshots could be useful too)
Yeah, I've noticed, generally Kopete notifications don't have close button (e.g. user online/offline, user status change notifications). I'll also try to get the shots today.
Well, here's some screenshots of Kopete's notifications (sorry, they are in russian locale, but I think it's obvious what they are): "user status: online" (strange, but "user offline" box _has_ close button), "message from user" and "user status: online (invisible)". They don't have X button so can't be closed.

So it looks that the problem is with the kopete notifications. I've moved the bug to "kopete".
Yeah, it's obviously so. Thank you.
It seems the problem went away in 4.3.2..
