Description Jaime 2009-08-06 18:31:45 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Unspecified Linux

I upgraded to KDE4.3.0 (from KDE4.2) in ArchLinux. The problem is the icons/images of the desktop and even KDE applications. The image rendering is wrong, with a lot of noise (typically in the low part of the image).
I've included a screen capture:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=P3R3MYNM
(sorry for the site but there's no way to attach files and I consider the easiest way to know my problem).
Even the mouse pointer is bad rendered.
My graphic card is ATI Radeon X1950 Pro with the open source driver: xf86-video-ati 6.12.2-2. The "desktop effects" are activated but their deactivation does not fix the problem.

I've attached the image file corresponding to my desktop. Attachments are definitely possible.

This surely indicates a driver problem.
Comment 3 Jaime 2009-08-06 21:17:16 UTC
Certainly, it was a driver problem. After installing this driver: http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=15374 (created from the GIT repository) everything works correctly.
