Version: (using KDE 4.3.0) Installed from: Fedora RPMs To reproduce: Desktop Settings -> choose Marble wallpaper with OpenStreetMap Zoom close enough that scrolling will for to download new tiles Scroll the view (drag & drop LMB) for a few seconds, then pause With some (bad) luck you'll see that the view stays in an half-updated state: some tiles of the view stay forever in fuzzy "i'm not fully downloaded yet" state. However, if you then move the view a tiny bit again, suddenly it gets all crisp, "now i'm finished downloading". This suggests that the tiles were fully downloaded, only the repainting was not triggered. The problem doesn't exist in the marble application, only in the plasma wallpaper plugin.
Thanks for the report. Sadly it seems to never have been solved? The Plasma worldmap wallpaper has been rewritten now in QML for Plasma5 (and lacking some of the old features still). The old code is no longer maintained, so closing this now. Please try the new wallpaper and report any issues or features you would like to see (re-)implemented.
