Description Mathias Waack 2009-08-04 13:34:21 UTC
Version: KMail 1.11.4 (using 4.2.4 (KDE 4.2.4) "release 2", KDE:42 / openSUSE_11.1)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.27.25-0.1-default

There seems to be no way to either automatically compact imap folders or use something like "Compact all folders" (why was this feature removed from kmail?). This makes it nearly impossible to use kmail as imap client for an account with several dozens of folders.

Additional in kmail 1.12.0 there is no button for compacting folders at all. The only way is to activate auto-compacting, which doesn't work from time to time on shared folders.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
