Version: (using KDE 4.2.98) OS: Linux Installed from: Ubuntu Packages I don't know if this really is kdelibs. But as two applications are concerned I didn't know where else to report. Let's say I have a folder with 150 subfolders and 150 files in it or an amarok playlist with 400 songs. Then I try to scroll both with the mouse wheel or by grabbing the slider and drag it. Both is very unresponsive and the view always seems to be behind the action (scrolling with the wheel is more effected). It doesn't matter if I show the covers in the playlist in amarok and it doesn't matter if I have thumbnails enabled in dolphin. I have a two core cpu and the usage rate of one core for X goes up to 70% on scrolling (htop).
The described problem does not appear at present. At least, it is not valid for me within following environment, ``` KDE Plasma: 5.11.95 Qt: 5.10.0 KDE Frameworks: 5.42.0 KDE Applications: 17.12.1 Amarok: 2.8.0 Using KDE 4.14.38 ``` Since no one subscribes to this bug any more and the problem is gone, I suggest closing this legacy bug report.
