Description Walter Hunziker 2009-08-01 11:09:45 UTC
Version: 1.11.2 (using 4.2.2 (KDE 4.2.2), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.28-14-generic

changes (modifying) in the toolbar does not work. It shows always the same selection - even in the "change toolbar gui" the changes are visible. Klicking on "default values" erases all toolbars and there is no way to get them back.

can not reproduce with KDE 4.3
Comment 2 Walter Hunziker 2009-08-17 16:14:30 UTC
Have installed KDE 4.3. on Kubuntu 9.04. No change here, cannot modify
<kmail_part>. Also tried with Kubuntu 9.10 and KDE4.3 --> same thing.

Comment 3 Martin Koller 2009-08-17 18:26:23 UTC
I see we're talking about kontact, not kmail as a standalone application, which was what I tested originally.
Now I tested kontact with current trunk SVN and changing the toolbar for <kmail_part> also works.

Comment 5 Walter Hunziker 2009-08-18 21:07:29 UTC
Hello
I found what caused the problem: the read/write/owner settings of the file
"kde/kmail/kmail_part" had wrong settings. It works now.
Thanks for your help and solong.
