Description Frédéric COIFFIER 2009-07-30 21:49:30 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.98)
Compiler: gcc (Gentoo 4.3.3-r2 p1.2, pie-10.1.5) 4.3.3

OS: Linux
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

Some times, when I scroll a web page (with mouse wheel), the refresh of some widgets breaks : only a part of the widget is refreshed. The bottom or the top of the widget are refreshed, but the middle isn't.

The problems occurs often with Konqueror but I've already seen it in a tree view widget in Akregator (so, not linked to khtml).

The problems occurs after several hours. When the problem appears, I have to restart the application to correct it. In Konqueror, it concerns all tabs when it appears. Moreover, for Konqueror case, the mouse cursor doesn't change when the mouse is above a link or above a textedit widget.

This problem isn't linked to the graphic card as I get it when I'm remotely connected.

IMHO, it can be linked to lower libraries like kdelibs or Qt it self. I would like to get an opinion of a kdelibs developper.
About Qt, in my case, I'm using the X11 backend (not raster). I haven't tested the raster backend (because, it's too slow through a remote connection).

(In fact, this report is linked to https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=191049 but we have no feedback from Konqueror developper).

I've reproduced the problem in KMail. We can see that the top and the bottom parts of the widget are corrupted.

This problem has disappeared with Qt5.
