Description Alan Prescott 2009-07-29 15:49:15 UTC
Version: 1.5.0 (using 4.2.98 (KDE 4.2.98 (KDE 4.3 RC3)) "release 148", KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop / openSUSE_11.1)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.27.23-0.1-pae

The New Scientist RSS feed is the worst offender in my set of feeds.

Viewing the feed puts up a compulsory ad which is animated and highly annoying. In konqueror or firefox I can switch off animations with a keystroke and a similar option would be welcome in akregator.

Additionally, since it's possible to embed viruses in jpegs it would probably be a good idea not to show images by default (similar to the way kmail works)
