Description Jonathan Herdt 2009-07-28 09:32:35 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.4)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

When I'm using the microblogging-plasmoid (having it set up with a Twitter account) at some not foreseeable point there is a very heavy hard disk operation that freezes my desktop. Last time I managed to Ctrl+Alt+F1 to get into text-mode but couldn't fire any command because the hard disk was too busy. It's only a guess, that the microblogging-plasmoid is responsible because I do not know how to backtrace this or which log to look at. Hope it's not similar to https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=194345 as it is not the cpu that is highly used.

there are quite a few memory leaks in the microblogger in 4.2. they are fixed in 4.3, however, and i recommend upgrading to that when it arrives. thanks.

Thanks for the quick reply! I'll wait a few days then and look forward to use the plasmoid again.
