Version:           r1001408 (using KDE 4.2.96)

0. Go to settings dialog and set tab position to Bottom and press Apply (if it isn't already)

Case 1:
1. Go to the settings dialog and set tab position to Left and press Apply (but do not close)

At this point if you move the settings dialog you can see that the list view has a grey background around the items.

2. Click Ok or Cancel

At this point the list view goes back to normal

Case 2:
1. Go to the settings dialog and set tab position to Left and press Ok

At this point the list view will have a grey background around the items and stay that way.

Fixed in SVN revision 1023132.
