Version: (using KDE 4.2.96) OS: Linux Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages I am not sure if it is a kde problem or a package problem, but here is it anyway. I have installed kde 4.3 rc2 and later I installed wesnot the fonts in kde looks more ugly, but the installer has not changed the fonts (still the same type). When I remove wesnoth the fonts goes back to look the same as before. It is still the same font. I have looked at whitch package wesnot depends on and I have found out that it is ttf-wqy-zenhei that makes all the problem. It is a "WenQuanYi Zen Hei" A Hei-Ti Style (sans-serif) Chinese font"
If you install "ttf-wqy-zenhei" without wesnoth (apt-get install ttf-wqy-zenhei) what does it happen?
exactly the same
can you attach two screenshot of KDE, one when that package is not installed and one when it is installed? thanks!
Created attachment 35554 [details] 2 pictures that show the bug
I notice that only kde programs that are loaded after I have installed the package are effected. KDE programe loaded before and gtk programe are not effected
This is a problem with how the distribution is setting up the "Sans Serif" default font alias in fontconfig. You can work around it by choosing a different font family in Systemsettings.
