Description Cade Robinson 2009-07-21 17:49:58 UTC
Version: 0.70.90 (using KDE 4.2.96)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

At work we have a OpenFire server that uses XMPP.
With kopete 4.2.4 I was able to connect just fine.

With 4.2.96 I can't.
I tried with pidgin and was able to.

When launching from command line I get the error:
Unknown signature value: 795
When trying to connect.

Also a popup comes up:
There was a connection error: Remote closed connection

I removed all .kde/*/*kopete* files and re-added the account and it still didn't connect.
I also tried with SSL and not.

One thing that used to happen (and happened with pidgin) was a popup to accept the self signed cert. It didn't happen with kopete 4.2.96.
So not sure if that is the issue or not.

Changing to use "user@host.domain.lan" worked.
Not sure why as "user@host" worked before.
