Description Gregor B. Rosenauer 2009-07-20 21:50:39 UTC
Version: Unbekannt (using 4.2.4 (KDE 4.2.4), Debian packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.30-1.slh.5-sidux-amd64

I recently moved to IMAP when accessing my GMail folders.
This worked very well (compared to previous versions) for all 37000+ messages...:).
Now I only experience weird behaviour quite often when checking for new mail or even when selecting a message in the message window:

In the progress-view, I see that the same message is downloaded multiple times simultaneously, for no obvious reason, which of course takes unnecessarily long.
In the end, I only receive a single message, which is correct, but it seems it gets downloaded and overwritten in the local cache multiple times.
Screenshot follows.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
