Description James 2009-07-20 17:14:42 UTC
Version:           0.70.4 (using KDE 4.2.4)
Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages

when i get a message from msn sent from an openfire server using the kraken plugin, kopete crashes. this is the log entry

terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::runtime_error'
what(): Incorrectly specified message format!
KCrash: Application 'kopete' crashing...

when kopete is re-opened, the message is in the message history

the kraken developer thinks this may be a kopete bug

this happens with every message from this source.

If you can reproduce the crash at will, may you read http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports and post a complete backtrace here? You may need to install the "kdenetwork-dbg" package. Thanks
