Description Panagiotis Papadopoulos 2009-07-20 16:56:49 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.96)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package

In rekonq it currently is not possible to post a comment on a phpBB board like [1] or [2].
If you click on Submit, it seems like the webpage is simply reloaded, and the text is gone. However the comment is not posted.

I tried your links and posted there without problems! Here is one link
(http://kmess.org/board/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=4084&p=11475#p11475)
I'm adjam, obviously :)
Sure you haven't some network related problems?
Comment 2 Panagiotis Papadopoulos 2009-07-31 14:49:55 UTC
As discussed on IRC some time ago:
It seems like it does not work if you are logged in on those boards.
So it may be some problem with the cookies

I have the same problem with bbs.archlinux.org and also mail.yahoo.com forget the login when marking emails as read.

Greetings

think this is a general problem with POST requests. Any website that I try to send a form via POST to fails to load for me.
-> HTTP request failed

I am behind a proxy using Rekonq Version 0.2.0 on openSUSE 11.2 Milestone 6 with KDE 4.3. Same works fine in Konqueror, so its not the proxy itself.

We are aware of the problem and probably have fixed in trunk master. Anyway, it
works with KDE 4.3.1, so you have to wait another week (tag in 2 days) to
test.
Comment 6 Panagiotis Papadopoulos 2009-08-30 13:51:29 UTC
It does not seem to work for me even with KDE trunk...
Comment 7 Ben Cooksley 2009-09-24 10:35:09 UTC
Not working on Trunk here either, using KDE Trunk also with Qt 4.6 from qt.git/4.6-stable
Comment 8 Panagiotis Papadopoulos 2009-09-29 19:04:45 UTC
For me this seems to be fixed on the latest git, using KDE trunk (kdelibs rev.: 1028511) and Qt 4.5.2.

As with the other (possibly) related bug report: I won't put it as resolved yet, as we should first do some testing :-)
Comment 9 Ben Cooksley 2009-09-30 02:22:36 UTC
The problem seems to be fixed for me also.
Comment 10 Panagiotis Papadopoulos 2009-10-03 00:30:59 UTC
putting it as fixed for now, as it seems to work as it should :-)
