Version: (using KDE 4.2.96) Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package Working with kate or kwrite in 4.2.96 on opensuse, once I open a file located on another computer and edit the file, when I try to save the file I get "connection to host <hostname> is lost" and I cannot save the file. The file was opened via fish without problem. However, the file would not save. The network connection was not the problem. I tried saving the file ten times, and finally just resorted to saving the file locally. Each time I received the same broken connection dialog: http://www.3111skyline.com/download/openSUSE_bugs/kde4/screenshots/kate-save-failure.jpeg To test I repeated the same steps and this time the file saved.
