Description kilolima 2009-07-18 04:46:02 UTC
Version: 3.2.4 (using 4.2.4 (KDE 4.2.4), 4.2.4-2.fc11 Fedora)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.29.5-191.fc11.i586

After enabling the tab plugin in the settings, and also realigning the documents tab at left to minimize it, after restarting kate the tab plugin is no longer loaded and the document tab is again in it's old place.

Expected Behaviour : settings made by the user would be retained across sessions, otherwise renders program painful to use.
Comment 1 Andreas Pakulat 2009-07-18 11:44:14 UTC
actually, the whole point of sessions is to store the users settings. Such that he can have different settings depending on what he works on. I think this is invalid, but I'll leave that up to the kate devs.
Comment 2 Dominik Haumann 2009-07-18 12:57:22 UTC
Use a session and configure kate to save the session at exit. If you always use new sessions, configure kate as you want it to be and then do Sessions > Save as Default.

Mark as dup.
