Version:            (using KDE 4.2.4)
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages

I use US English language as default system language, but Russian is selected as default language in Spell Checker settings. Neverthless all KDE application (konqueror, kopete) use US English as default spelling language.

KDE 4.2.4, Kununtu 9.04

- Is your Russian spellchecker installed properly? (otherwise it will fallback to english).
- Can you check this on KDE4.3 ?
