Installed from:    Compiled From Sources

If the date line is visible and if the poles are not visible then the placemarks disappear.

Additionally if one chooses the diameter to fit exactly the height of the viewport and if the south pole is visible then the view's latLonAltBox is too small (the northern limit resembles the southern tilt ).
